Third Blue Shipping Summit

30 July 2013

The 3rd annual international Blue Shipping Summit took place on June 11, 2013 at Hotel Apollon Divani Pallas in Kavouri, Attiki.
Established in 2011, the Blue Shipping Summit aims to develop shipping in conjunction with the protection of the environment, since shipping activities are known potential sources of pollution.
More than 150 delegates, government officials, representatives of international shipping, bankers, shipbuilders, environmentalists, lawyers, journalists, and other members of the international shipping community, attended this year's meeting, representing many different countries with shipping activity.
During the meeting the participants exchanged views about all modern and urgent maritime and environmental issues that are vital for the future of the shipping industry and the emergence from the on-going shipping sector crisis.
HEC Director of Research and Development, Michalis Psaromichalakis, attended the meeting as one of the keynote speakers. HEC’s presence was resounding and impressive, as participants had nothing but favorable comments to make and the organizers invited HEC to participate in next year’s forum.
